Micro Loans and Trust Circles

On our recent trip to Kampala, Uganda, Red Earth RISING hosted the Future Institute which was a multi-day training on health, language, literacy, leadership and business. Micro loans were distributed after the training. As a way of supporting each other, the women meet to discuss their new businesses in “Trust Circles” where they receive additional monthly training. Loan repayment is at 100% and the businesses are all off to a promising start.
